Photograph by Dan Churchill
Prep & Total Time
Ready in: 12 hours 10 minutes (10 minutes active prep, 12 hours chill time)
Yield
Makes 4 servings
Total ingredients: 8
Ingredients
Creamy Oat Base
2 cups rolled oats
1 liter almond milk (any plant or dairy milk works as a swap)
Β½ cup pitted dates, chopped
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
2 pinches of fine sea salt
Finishing Toppings
Fresh strawberries, sliced
Crunchy toasted walnuts
Strawberry jam (homemade or store-bought)
Instructions
Add almond milk, chopped dates, cinnamon, and salt to a blender. Blend on high until the mixture is completely smooth, with no remaining date chunks.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the blended date mixture and rolled oats, stirring until all oats are evenly coated.
Cover the bowl tightly and refrigerate overnight to let the oats set and absorb all the creamy, sweet flavor.
When ready to serve, portion the oat mixture into individual bowls. Top each serving with a dollop of strawberry jam, fresh sliced strawberries, and toasted walnuts, then enjoy right away.
